About Leca
Jelena "Leca" is the soul of Leca Page.
Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Yugoslavian Civil War, Leca closely witnessed tragedy at a young age. In fact, fragments of an exploded grenade are still lodged in her legs to this day.
While recovering at the hospital, she received a gift from a non-profit organization operating in the region. It consisted of a get-well card in a scented box together with two pieces of wrapped chocolate bars.
Chocolate bars are eaten, and the box and the card are lost to time. Yet, Leca still owns the memory of that fragrance to this day.
The selection of the base, middle, and top notes while creating a fragrance not only resembles the isolation and composition of the layers of y(our) life but also tells the story of y(our) fondest memories. In fact, the smell memories are older and more vivid.
As years went by, Leca moved and lived in different cities inspiring her to collect the aromas she felt - identifying, isolating, and blending back together her fondest memories. In collaboration with Perfumer Catherine Sellig and her Takasago team based in New York, Leca has created a fragrance for each of these cities and they have been encapsulated in three different books: Vegas Oddity, Tokyo 1,2,3, and Shanghai Lu.
Three books for three fragrance stories.
